Job Description:

The Digital Business Automation Consultant is responsible for implementing BMC Software solutions at customer sites and developing/evolving best practices for delivery of BMC Digital Business Automation Solutions.

The Consultant’s primary responsibilities for the role are:

  1. Responsible for leading and/or participating in small teams comprised of BMC, partner and customer resources at client sites to deliver required outcomes and produce additional business with BMC clients.
  2. Understand how to apply technology to improve the operational effectiveness or efficiency of specific IT functions or applications.
  3. Understand enterprise scale, integrated applications from a process/business perspective.
  4. Implement, customize, and configure BMC products as part of a defined BMC Route to Value.
  5. Integrate BMC products to each other and third-party applications.
  6. Improve the quality and efficiency of the solutions delivered to BMC clients as a means to improve BMC business margins.
  7. Accountable to client for achieving specific outcomes by delivering services as directed by the project manager and technical lead.

  14. Fulfills all Ethics and Compliance training and testing requirements to protect BMC interests and assets at all times.

Qualifications /Experience/Certifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  2. 5(+) years of conversion experience with Output Manager (CA View/Deliver, Beta 92, CA-Bundl, LRS VPS, CA Dispatch, Control-M Output Manager).
  3. 5(+) years using Output Manager (CA View/Deliver, Beta 92, CA-Bundl, LRS VPS, CA Dispatch, Control-M Output Manager).
  4. 5(+) years of conversion experience with Tape (CA1, CA TLMS, Control-M Tape).
  5. 5(+) years using Tape products (CA1, CA TLMS, Control-M Tape).
  6. Operating systems – Mainframe, Windows, Linux, Unix.

Qualifications/Experience/Certifications (Desirable):

  1. ITIL v3 Foundation.
  2. Understanding of different software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
  3. SaaS experience.
  4. Cloud Computing experience.
  5. Exposure to and involvement with multiple simultaneous projects and cross team dependencies.
  6. Project management skills.
  7. Knowledge of BMC Output Management Solutions.
  8. Control-M product certification.
  9. Microsoft Project.
  10. Knowledge of effective use of SharePoint, Salesforce and OpenAir.
  11. Workload Automation product experience (CA7, CA-Jobtrac, CA-Scheduler, ASG Zeke, IBM TWS, CA-ESP).
